Our name was inspired by someone dearest to our founder’s heart—Calix, Carol’s only daughter and the daily spark behind her passion to empower beauty and confidence through art. Anne-Marie Starkey is a licensed cosmetologist through the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology, with over a decade of experience enhancing natural beauty through eyelash extensions, waxing, and makeup.

With a commitment to client safety and continuous education, Anne-Marie uses only the safest, tested, vegan, and latex-free products. She loves to help people embrace themselves in a way that boosts self-confidence, leaving clients happy, satisfied, and full of self love!

Where glam meets grace, you’ll find Carol—the powerhouse artist and founder of Calix Glow. A Certified Professional Makeup Artist since 2007, Carol has spent over a decade perfecting the art of enhancing natural beauty with timeless elegance and a touch of glow-up magic.

Backed by a degree in Psychology, she doesn’t just transform faces—she understands them. Her intuitive approach allows her to connect deeply with clients, creating a safe, elevated space where beauty feels personal, intentional, and soul-deep.

Carol is also a Certified Lash Artist and Licensed Permanent Makeup Professional, specializing in sculpted brows, defined lips, flawless lash extensions, and confidence-restoring scar and stretch mark camouflage. Her technique? A luxurious fusion of precision, softness, and serious skill.
